A new study identifies commercial buildings as a stealth drain on the state's energy resources and economy. The report, UNTAPPED POTENTIAL OF COMMERCIAL BUILDINGS: ENERGY USE AND EMISSIONS, produced by Collaborative Economics for Next 10, finds that the energy efficiency or lack thereof in commercial buildings has a significant impact on California's economy, the state's overall energy use, global warming pollution emissions and jobs.

Next 10 produced an online digest and printed report on the state's infrastructure history and current trends, highlighting the key choices we have to make.  To make this information more accessible, Next 10 created an informational brochure in five different languages and an online quiz that explain in easy-to-understand text and graphics the policy, decision making process, and funding mechanisms that dictate the maintenance and expansion of our state's infrastructure.  These materials were disseminated statewide through our broad network of partners. We are currently exploring the feasibility of expanding this program area to include detailed information on the impact of infrastructure choices on greenhouse gas emissions.
