INFRASTRUCTURE

The California Resources Agency and its many supporting departments are responsible for the conservation, enhancement, and management of California’s rich and diverse natural resources.  The California Environmental Protection Agency (CalEPA) is responsible for protecting the state’s environmental resources. It regulates forest fire damage, greenhouse gas emissions, children’s health, asbestos and lead in buildings, and the protection of endangered species. CalEPA departments include the Air Resource Board, the Department of Pesticide Regulations, the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment, and the State Water Resources Control Board.
